
Translation Services Sales-Project Manager Job (Remote or In-house)

LingvoHouse Translation Services Ltd, is a Central London based multi-language translation services provider targeting B2B, we are dynamic and rapidly growing translation agency founded 11 years ago, with clients including Legal 500 law firms, FTSE 250 companies, top tier international banks and other companies worldwide, currently looking to expand our team by hiring an enthusiastic success-driven English-speaker Translation Sales Manager to manage translation projects of all size and complexity working side by side with other PMs and the CEO.
Location:
This role can be either in-house (London, EC4) or home-based.
Ideally, you would work initially in the office in London (6 months), to complete training and learning, thereafter you can work remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Bring new business & convert leads into sales, look after existing accounts
- Client liaison, from the first contact through to delivery of translations
- Price up translation requests with use of CAT-tools (Trados or Memo Q), provide quotes, follow up meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Analyse the customers’ documents and assign to the most suitable supplier
- Co-ordinate the translation projects throughout all the phases of the customer cycle from customer enquiry to final project delivery, including:
- Choose best available translators & proofreader and assign work to meet financial & time-to-market targets
- Oversee translation projects end-to-end to client’s satisfaction, liaise with translators
- Manage clients’ needs and expectations, react as necessary, troubleshoot and problem-solve
- Consistently follow up with clients with delivery, quality and customer service
- Perform quality checks at various stages of the process to ensure quality and accuracy
- Cooperate with other managers and support staff to ensure effective teamwork in generating customer satisfaction over long-term
- Comply with established processes
- Research the translation industry become knowledgeable about including industry leaders, competitive data, proposal formats, competitive rate structures, and marketing strategies
- Continuously learn about language industry and develop professional abilities
- Become an expert who understands buyers of translation services, giving you the ability to gain the trust of customers and close business
- Represent us to all existing contacts and generate interest through ‘word of mouth’ marketing strategies, regularly keep in touch with existing clients
- Constantly improve sales material reacting to market changes
- File translation memory & document sales data in our systems
Requirements:
- Proven knowledge of CAT tools (Trados or Memo Q)
- 1-3 years of B2B sales experience (translation services industry preferred)
- Strong sales & management skills, verbal and written English communication skills
- English Language on a level of a native speaker
- Additional European language preferred (French or Spanish preferred, German, Russian or any other).
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Must have expertise using Microsoft Office products, Outlook mail experience
- For in-house positions – unconditional right to work in UK full time

Compensation & Benefits:
- consisting of a competitive base £24,000 p/a gross, plus
- additional 50-150% of commission on sales, no upper limit (you would typically make up to £48,000 p/a as a total compensation)
